The Lutz locomotive

September 4, 2012

Chip Lutz continues to pad his golf legacy.

The LedgeRock Golf Club member retained his British and Canadian Men’s Senior Amateur titles in impressive fashion. Lutz carded final round, 4-under-par 68s in both victories. Moreover, he overcame deficits (one stroke in the British, two in the Canadian) entering the last day en route to four and five shot win margins. Remarkable.

Lutz is a homegrown hero making international golf waves. He hopes to claim national glory when the USGA Senior Amateur Championship heads to Mountain Ridge Country Club in West Caldwell, N.J. Sept. 29 to Oct. 4. Paul Simson is the only player to accomplish the trifecta. He did so in 2010.

Congratulations Chip, and continued success.
